
Senior Accountant
Private Asset Services
Global objective:
Execute and/or review the day-to-day accounting operations to maintain financial and non-financial records. The second level preparation/review for NAV calculation and any other services for all client accounts allocated.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Preparation and / or review of NAV accounts and reporting packages according to planning which includes:
- Maintenance of general ledger and other financial and non-financial records
- Reconciliation of cash, portfolio and other balances with relevant source
- Preparation of various calculations e.g. expenses, waterfalls and others
- Preparation and finalisation of NAV calculations and the first/second level review for accuracy, completeness, classification, occurrence, valuation, right and obligation, allocation, cut-off
- NAV sign off with client
- Preparation of reporting package
- Preparation and/or review of any other service delivered to the client
- Interaction on a daily basis when required with clients on NAV production matters
- Participation in client meetings
- Audit follow-up and communication with auditors
- Support and supervision of Assistant Accountants / Accountants on day to day tasks
- Execution and / or review of all tasks in accordance with the procedures and applicable laws / regulations
- Accurate classification of all accounting related documentations (paper and electronic form) following procedures
- Daily follow-up on correspondence with allocated clients
- Time management and time sheet completion
- Fulfil all EFA requirements in the meaning of training, procedures and internal governance
- Supporting projects to implement and set-up new clients
- Deputise for the Team Leader as and when required.
Your profile:
- Holder of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in a Private Asset accounting role is a must
- Good command of English essential, knowledge of French and a Nordic language and/or German an advantage
- Knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment (law on commercial companies, UCITS, SICAR, SIF, etc.)
- Knowledge of accounting automation tools dedicated to Private Asset structures or commercial companies (INVESTRAN)
- Sense of responsibility, organised, thorough and hard-working
- Good knowledge of common office automation tools such as Word and Excel.
