Noel FESSEY

Chief Executive Officer

Noel joined EFA in November 2017. He entered financial services in 2000 after a 13-year military career specialising in logistics and IT. He previously worked with Schroder Investment Management in London as the Schroders Group head of IT security, and quickly took on additional responsibilities.

From 2003 to 2016 Noel was Managing Director of Schroder Investment Management (Luxembourg) S.A., a regulated fund management company. For more than 13 years Noel led a team that developed the company into Schroders' largest operations centre outside of London.

Noel was appointed Schroders' global head of fund services in 2005 and chief operations officer of Schroders' product division in 2016.

Noel was a member of the board of directors of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) from 2005 to 2016.

Noel is English, married with two children and lives in Luxembourg.

John GLESENER

Prior to his current position, John headed the Register and Transfer Agency (until 2010) and Product and Strategic Developments (until 2015) as a Director.

Before joining EFA in 2001, he worked for UBS Fund Services Luxembourg, previously Swiss Bank Corporation, where he was a member of the Executive Committee and headed different business areas ranging from Product & Business Development to Organisation, IT and Transfer Agency.

John speaks Luxembourgish, English, German and French and holds a degree in Economics from University Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg.

Claude HOFFMANN

Director - Commercial, Product & Strategic Development

Claude joined EFA in September 1998 and is responsible for Business Development, Relationship Management, Product Development and Marketing. Prior to joining EFA, Claude was in charge of the Investment Funds commercial and depository bank areas at Banque Générale du Luxembourg.

Claude speaks Luxembourgish, English, German and French. He holds a Master Degree in Economics from Université Libre de Bruxelles. He is an INSEAD alumni, having completed the International Directorship Program Certificate in Corporate Governance.

Claude has been working in the European Funds Industry since 1987, covering Luxembourg, the UK, Italy, France and the Nordics. He is an ILA (Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs) Certified Director.

Gary JANAWAY

Director - Chief Operating Officer

Mr Janaway was appointed on 12 December 2019.

Prior to joining EFA, Gary worked as an independent director and consultant in Luxembourg.

From 1991 to 2015, Gary worked for Schroders Investment Management in London and Luxembourg was appointed Director of Operations for the Luxembourg Operations in 2003. His role included a broad range of responsibilities that covered: Distribution Support, Fund Administration, Fund Performance, Investment Risk, Project Management, Product Implementation, Treasury & Cash Management and Transfer Agency Services.

Gary has served on various fund and management boards. As a member of Schroders’ European Fund Services Committee, he was directly involved in formulating and delivering the strategy to provide services to Schroders' investment fund ranges in Europe and Asia. This work entailed the on-going review of client needs and regulatory requirements and incorporating them into sustainable and scalable processes delivered from the Luxembourg operations centre.

At an industry level Gary has worked in several areas covering topics that included CSDR and Chairing the original ALFI working groups on Market Timing & Swing Pricing.

Cédric JAUQUET

Director – Private Asset Services

Cédric Jauquet has 20 years’ experience in private asset services in Luxembourg. Throughout his career, he covered various managerial and operational positions in several international financial institutions.

Since 2014 Cédric held the position of member of the Executive Board, Director, Head of Private Equity & Real Estate fund administration at Credit Suisse Fund Services (Luxembourg) S.A..

Prior to working for Credit Suisse, Cédric worked for Banque Internationale à Luxembourg's corporate and fund services subsidiary as Director, Head of Institutional Client services and member of the Executive Board.

He also worked at RBC Dexia Investor Services, where he specialised in Real Estate and Private Equity investments with an in-depth experience in different aspects of the investment fund business, such as transfer agency services, fund accounting, consolidation, risk monitoring and audit.

Cédric started his career at PwC Luxembourg auditing Real Estate and Private Equity investments funds.
