Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan

To ensure our clients receive a consistent service in virtually any situation, EFA has implemented a comprehensive Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).

This set up guarantees high availability of our IT environment and the relocation of our staff at our recovery site in the event of a major disaster at EFA's headquarters.

Tests of the BCP and DRP procedures are organised regularly, in order to ensure the plan's effectiveness. Intermediary tests are performed to ensure high availability of services when new systems, programs and hardware are installed.

Data Protection

EFA uses state-of-the-art security systems to ensure our clients' fund data remains confidential.

Systems allowing client interactively employ high-end security to ensure access to your fund data is restricted to approved parties.

Interactive systems include:

  • Internet based reporting (e.g EFAnet)

    • Report delivery: secured FTP server with encrypted file protocols

    • Report parameterisation: https secured connection with password

  • Transactional client applications (e.g.Transfer Agency Remote Access).

    • Https secured connection plus password and use of token with real time randomly generated code.

EFA's online applications incorporate hierarchical access systems designed to support various business models.

For example, parameterisation of access to EFA's Transfer Agency application is highly flexible and can be defined at fund level, agent level, etc.

Similarly, access to accounting reports via EFAnet can be defined per investment manager, fund sponsor, etc..
